While I dearly love Halloween, I'm glad it's over for another year. This year, Gracie decided 3 days before Halloween that she wanted to be a monkey and Michael came in from the rig unexpectedly just 5 days after he left, so they have both been driving me a little crazy. After helping Michael's mom move, I really didn't get started on Gracie's costume until the day before Halloween, but I thought it came out great. This year is far different than what I am used to- no big family around, no parties with friends and tons of kids. Which leads me to the next holiday and my plans for it.......
When I started thinking about Thanksgiving a month or so ago and realized Gracie and I would be here alone for it, I decided "No way, no how". I come from way too large of a family for my daughter and I to spend the holidays alone, so I made arrangements to spend Thanksgiving with my sister in Tennessee and stay a couple of weeks. But talking with her yesterday, my husband asked why I didn't go ahead and go now. He planned to take me the week of Thanksgiving but he's off right now anyway so just when I thought I'd get some rest, I'm starting to pack! But I'm extremely excited- I get really bored being here alone most of the time and Gracie never has anyone to play with. My sister and I had our kids just a couple weeks apart both times, so my kids just turned 9 and 3 and hers will turn 3 and 9 next week and the week after.
Enough of my boring life- I'm sure you're all captivated- if anyone actually reads this. Remember, I'm just getting started and will soon include things you might actually want to read. Maybe in a few days I'll give you my recipe for stuffed mushrooms which are heavenly and I'm making for Thanksgiving (because my sister and I love them).
If there's something you'd like to hear about, comment and that's what I'll post about.
Adios!
